10th International Carbon Dioxide Conference

Invited speakers

Juerg Michael Matter

University of Southhampton, United Kingdom

Dr. Matter is an Associate Professor in Geoengineering within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Center Southampton at the University of Southampton, and a Senior Adjunct Scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, New York. His research interests are in carbon capture and storage as a climate change mitigation technology. His primary focus is on developing carbon dioxide mineralization, where he made fundamental advances in understanding permanent carbon storage in geologic reservoirs. Matter is also interested in the development and application of new monitoring and accounting techniques for carbon management, which is key for the commercialization of carbon capture and storage. He is currently involved in the Oman Drilling Project, STEMM-CCS, CHIMNEY, as well as the CarbFix Project in Iceland.
